1958 Lambretta Li150 Series 1 (L118)

Progressive Design … Slimline Body … Very Rare Collectible

The 1958 Lambretta Series 1 marked the beginning of a new generation for Lambretta scooters replacing the LD series, ushering in a more modern and streamlined design. This fine example was restored in Italy and served as a display at the “TAPARO” restaurant in Padova for several years. The restoration was very faithful to the original and correct in all details. We were able to acquire this collectible and then fully inspected and serviced the scooter. It is now ready for the road or use as an exhibit. Paint finish is in very good condition and mechanicals are good to go. Shows beautifully and runs and rides very well.

Produced in two slightly different versions from April 1958 to October 1959 when it was replaced by the Series II. The main feature is that this is the first version “Filtrone” (rarer) which has the air intake on the rear side of the bike unlike the later version with intake under the front saddle. Thus this Lambretta model is quite rare and sought after by marque collectors. The styling updates the art deco motif of the earlier LD model with a more modern clean lines. Overall condition is outstanding and there are many cool details and accents. The bike is fitted with separate rider and passenger saddles. The Series one features a 150cc motor with 6 HP driving thru a 3 speed gearbox. Odometer reads 20,813 miles (33,496km) but the scooter shows much younger due to the quality of the restoration. Performance is leisurely as is typical of 1950’s scooters. A stunning display piece of history in superb, collectible condition.
