This stunning Italian racing red VESPA PK 50 S is in outstanding condition. Very original and obviously very well cared for, this Vespa really shows well. Service is up to date, just tuned and in perfect running order. This scooter is in largely original condition with beautiful paint and finish, all proper badges in place. Overall shows clean and proper, with only a few minor scuffs and scratches. Very attractive and comfortable Piaggio sports solo seat. Classic clean and modern lines. Large and detailed instrument display and useful front glove box Handy removable panels for engine access and spare tire. Features 10” wheels, a 4-speed manual transmission and electronic ignition. By the 1980’s Vespa’s original small frame design, though elegant, called for a change. Piaggio did a radical re-design of the small frame and went fully 80’s style. While clearly a product of the 80’s, the design earned a new crop of admirers.
The PK range was an updated version of the previous “small frame” body design – which had been the largest selling Vespa ever. Much like the P-series large frame, the PK took everything that was great about the small frame, and put it in a more modern package. The PK’s are light and nimble, and they just handle fantastic. Features 10” wheels and 4-speed manual transmission. PK 50’s are a blast to ride. Unlike the previous small frames, the PK’s boast modern 12 volt electrical systems, turn signals, and bright lights.
This is a 50cc scooter, but don’t let that fool you, it is actually quite peppy. There are a myriad of tuning options for this scooter if you want to go even faster, and the very sharp and competent handling on the PK really lends itself to making a pocket-rocket, if you want to go that route.
