The CL 600 coupe was introduced in 1992 and went thru three redesigns to remain at the state of the art. This example is from the third generation redesign of 2006, which was updated in 2010 to include the latest technologies including Active Blind Spot Assist, Attention Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Night View Assist Plus, and Active Body Control. The 2012 CL 600 was intended as a technical tour de force and a true flagship model. Essentially a pillarless coupe version on the top of the line S Class sedan, the CL 600 is a statement car and a status symbol in the truest sense. The third generation is designated C216 and was produced until 2014. It was the last version of the CL.

The 2012 CL 600 features a SOHC, 36-valve Bi-Turbo V-12. Making 510 hp and 517 lb.ft. of torque the CL 600 is a very impressive motorcar. The 0-to-60 MPH sprint takes only 4.1 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 155 MPH.

Overall a truly impressive motorcar that defined luxury and set performance benchmarks for a luxury coupe.
