About Bello Moto SF & Italia
Bello Moto is a dream that came true. Established in 2011 by Gianluca Baldo, a passionate moto enthusiast who had the vision and tenacity to create a resource for vintage enthusiasts who shared his passion. The spark that ignited Bello Moto is his passionate interest and fascination with vintage Italian motorcars, motorcycles and scooters. This stirred in Gianluca the desire to find, preserve and restore the most unique examples of this machine age art.
To this end he began to assemble a collection of machines that stirred his emotions. As the collection grew, the connections and resources that nurtured it grew as well. The desire to share the experience and assist others in indulging the passion expanded the vision and the concept of Bello Moto took shape. A collection, a museum, a resource, a place for friends and clients to enjoy their shared fascination in a true club atmosphere. Created to celebrate these remarkable and iconic machines that embody the best in engineering and design, and the nostalgia that surrounds them. Dedicated to evoke the eras and lifestyles they represent and enjoy the memories they inspire.
The necessary elements to properly support the endeavor have now come together. A team of enthusiast specialists in Italy to locate and restore the unique finds of interest to true collectors. A San Francisco headquarters to provide sales, service, parts and support along with events and get togethers to share with fellow enthusiasts. And now, an Italian headquarters to showcase superb, select motos to collectors in Italy and to become a welcoming club to those with a passion.

At Bello Moto, we have a passion for classic Italian Motorcars, Motorcycles, Scooters and Special Interest Motos such as the Piaggio APE. We are a small team of enthusiasts with roots in Italy and decades of experience in riding, maintaining and restoring vintage machines. Our San Francisco shop features complete service and restoration facilities, a vast parts inventory and our collection of classic motos – some of which we offer for sale. Our connections in Italy and Europe are established and trusted, and provide us with a link to rare and unique machines, from which we select only the most interesting choices. We are passionate about original details and have the patience to preserve them. We love what we do!
We are located in a custom built facility in San Francisco. We have over 100 vintage cars, motorcycles and scooters for sale and in our collection. Our workshop has space for even the biggest service or restoration job. Our scooters have won awards at some of the major California concourse events, including the Quail Lodge Motorcycle Gathering and the Concorso Italiano.

Bello Moto is your resource for tune-ups, routine maintenance and minor repairs on vintage Italian motorcars from Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Lancia. We are vintage specialists with the experience and skill to provide expert routine maintenance and tune up services for your vintage classic at reasonable rates. Our technicians are ready to keep your vintage moto in perfect working order. We specialize in tune-ups, brakes, troubleshooting and detail work and are ready for most regular service needs.

We are pleased to announce the opening of our satellite location in the province of Brescia, Northern Italy, near Desenzano del Garda : BELLO MOTO ITALIA. This new facility is now fully operational on an "Appointment Only" basis. Our spacious showroom/garage allows us to display a select assortment of vintage motorcars, motorcycles and scooters, and offer new on site services for restoration. Our vehicle inventory includes special finds from the personal collection of our founder - Gianluca Baldo, as well as recent acquisitions and select motos on consignment from all over Italy. We are specializing in unique collectables that spark the passions of vintage enthusiasts. We are offering our friends and clients a place to view and evaluate the exciting classic cars, exceptional motorcycles, vintage scooters and moto collectibles our team has secured in Italy. Our standards are set to a very high level for collectability, originality, and quality of restoration ... we are passionately committed to the best.
We have created a true Club Atmosphere where sellers and collectors commingle and have the opportunity to share memories and personal experiences. These connections will lead to further adventures - a visit to a "Secret Collection”, introduction to "Old Timer" who worked for one of the historical car or motorcycle factories in his younger years, or discovery of a “Special Resource” for rare parts or bespoke services.
These new experiences will augment Bello Moto's presence in the collector marketplace and allow us to expand the type of services we offer in Italy. For the last several years our Italian Staff has been searching for the best available vintage finds in Italy. Those new acquisitions were loaded on an ocean container and sent to our San Francisco location for sale, as we did not operate a local facility in Italy. Today, we have decided the time has come to offer these beautiful vintage treasures to our Italian and European clients as well.
We will offer our clientele an opportunity to purchase those vehicles at a discounted price before we ship them to our San Francisco, USA location. We will also be showcasing great finds and highly collectable merchandise that we intend to market in Italy only.
Bello Moto Italia now has a full time team in place, which provides us with additional capabilities to inspect, service and prepare our machines for the US market. This will maintain and insure the high standards of quality and value that Bello Moto stands for.
Mechanical inspections, body repairs and paint, performance upgrades and complete restorations are now made available in Italy with relatively quick turnarounds. Our spacious garage allows us the opportunity to store a vehicle safely while we remove the powertrain and send if off for a rebuild. Meanwhile the bodywork can be expedited, chassis restoration performed and any rust issues addressed. The restored body then can be primed, painted and finally the rebuilt motor and drivetrain fitted and the car made ready for the road. All of this offering substantial time savings along the entire restoration process. Every step proceeding under the watchful eye of our Italian staff. When a particularly interesting Collection is located, we will try to close on it. Occasionally a straight purchase can not be consummated. In that case we ask the owner permission to market some of his vehicles on his behalf and under an exclusive contract of representation. These vehicles, after being thoroughly tested and professionally photographed, will be posted in the "Consignment" page of Bello Moto Italia and will be offered for sale to both Italian and US based clients. We are also offering our EuroDiscovery Program for locating specific vehicles to customer specification. For American enthusiasts this process simplifies and provides assurances not possible when buying an Italian vehicle on your own. In addition to locating and evaluating purchases we provide complete "Import and Delivery Services" to your door. Here is how. Since 2017, Bello Moto has successfully offered our US clients an exclusive service we consider our own unique signature: our European Discovery Program. Via EDP any US based client/enthusiast can specify his special interest vintage vehicle and immediately ask our Italian personnel to go look for it. Our staff offers on the ground access and evaluation expertise gained through many years in the marketplace. Once a suitable vehicle is located the client can decide to "pull the trigger" and buy it directly. We take care of the rest. A small commission is added to the "Actual Costs" incurred in acquiring, shipping to our Freight Forwarder's staging area near Milan, loading onto one of our ocean containers and shipping to San Francisco (where U.S. Customs is cleared), unloading the vehicle on our premises. An application for U.S. Title is also completed before delivery to the new owner takes place. For Italian and European enthusiasts the process is similar, but shipping is simplified and costs reduced as typically final delivery will be in Italy or Europe. In summary, Bello Moto Italia is an exciting new destination and resource for our friends and clients offering unique services, a Club atmosphere and a way to enjoy your moto passions on a new level.
