The compact workhorse that everybody loves. Piaggio’s APE 50 Pianale is the answer to business on wheels customization for urban fairs and special events. The Piaggio APE 50 Mini Pick Up is a perfect base for custom build-outs for many mobile business concepts. The sturdy chassis has a payload of over 400 pounds and the gearing to manage any terrain. This unit is fitted with the factory long bed that measures 47” x 53“ internal with alloy sides and a rear tailgate. Driver’s compartment is spacious and comfortable with a neat instrument console and many convenient storage spaces. Bello Moto modifies the basic APE 50 to be more suitable for American driving environments. This example has been fitted with a complete conversion kit to upgrade from the original 50cc 2-stroke engine to a 102cc powerhouse providing 5 horsepower and a top speed over 25 mph. Automatic oiling is featured and fuel economy is approximately 70 mpg. Starting is via an electric starter. Steering is via a motorcycle style handlebar fitted with modern switchgear, a twist throttle and clutch/shift control for the 4 speed manual gearbox. Reverse gear is also provided along with a dual circuit brake system. Lighting is via LED lamps. Designed for the narrow and challenging historic streets of Italy, the APE 50 goes anywhere with ease on or off road. The Pick UP configuration makes it simple to add your custom unit to the bed and be open for business.
