A faithful replica of one of the early successful Laverda racing bikes, this is a remarkable motorcycle. The original was a factory racer ridden by Nino Castellani to victory in the MI-TA long distance race in 1952. Popularly known as “Tarantina”, the racer remained the property of Laverda at the end of the 1952 racing season. Castellani was also the owner of a Laverda dealership in Riva del Garda and built this replica as an exact copy of his race bike. While the appearance is a virtual clone of the original Laverda 75, the mechanical components have been modified and improved. Near concours in all regards, the bike also runs and rides superbly and is notably quicker than a stock 75 Sport.
